How to find your team members.... · MysteryBee

In each of the past two years, I've been a member of a Ride team.... and in each of those years it was REALLY difficult to find team members among the thousands of riders, especially on Day 1 when everyone is wearing the same jersey. This year, I have a plan: I've found an inexpensive item that will help me e...

It looks like CP24 has changed things once again, rain an Saturday. Scares the crap out of me as I don't need a crash on my $10,000 Cervelo. May have to switch my ride to the Cannondale Caad9. Anyone else worried?

Hi all, I'm specifically looking for some help from a more experienced rider. I did the ride last year for the first time, and I noticed that my back got VERY sore towards the end of the second day. This year it's gotten sore a week earlier, so I'm a tad concerned for the ride itself. What stretches can yo...

Any suggestions for Sore Muscle Recovery: 1) After Day 1 of ride, then you will be ready for the ride on next day. 2) After Day 2 of ride, then you will be ready to go for Work on next day.

How do you go down really steep hills? I'm kinda scared of falling (petrified, actually), and don't really know any techniques to do so (I don't think that riding my brakes is too safe a thing).

I had a very discouraging training ride yesterday that began with the first 30 kms directly into a 25 kmh headwind (in the Ottawa area). It felt like my brakes were on the whole ride and sucked all my energy. Of course, on the way home, the wind changed direction slightly and abated, so I didn't get the ben...

Hi everyone We are riding in a group and are looking to leave a car in Niagara to get us all back again. Does anyone know of anywhere I can leave my car on Friday for a couple of nights? Will any of the hotels let a non resident pay for a couple of nights? Thanks in advance.

Crap . After recommending people get their bikes to the shop last week, I'm now facing an urgent repair. Popped a spoke on my Mavic Aksium rear wheel this evening. I get to spend tomorrow finding a shop in London that can do the job before Friday afternoon. With about 10,000 km on the wheel is it worth...

this is my fourth time doing the Ride, and second time doing the 200M. I am not a hard core rider and i dont have enough time to train, but i like to push to my limit. I was a little disappointed that there isn't a different jersey for 200m riders to distinguish them for the cheering sections. The extra 60kms each day seems to deserve an extra nod, somehow. I saw a post noting that the bike plates indicate the distance, but mine ony have a name. Anyone?

Can someone who has riden with one of these tell me if it is noticable. Does it add drag? I am planning to do the 200 mile ride and while I don't mind having the flag on my bike to inspire others, candidly I do not really want to add the extra drag, as I think doing two days of 162 kms each will be tough enough.

I haven't received my jersey or other check-in bumpf. I met my fundraiser goal and checked-in online only last Friday. Were the kits sent out by Canada Post? If so, how long did it take to get after checking in? I'm worried mine will get hung up if there's a postal strike Thursday night.
