Looking for a Mid Range Hybrid Bike

I am 5'8" male looking for a Bike for next years ride. I had an entry level Trek Hybrid, which served it's purpose very well. Passed it on to my niece who I hope is joining our team for next year.  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I have an entry level hybrid:  Giant Sedona.  Considering either a Devinci Wellington or Devinci Oslo;  lighter bike, thinner tires.  Have not done a test ride as yet.

Do you have a bike shop that you trust and go to for regular service, accessories, etc?   That should be a good place to start.  They should be asking what kind of riding you do, distance, etc. and finding a bike to match this.  From the little I know, your height shouldn't be a huge factor as the bike should come in different sizes to match your height.   There are websites that offer tips how to choose a bike.  But most important is that you are comfortable riding the bike.  The bike that I'm comfortable on, may not be comfortable for you.  Best to try a few different bikes.

Best regards.

Me too - I rode a hybrid my first 2 years and then switced to a road bike in 2012. I honestly didn't see a read difference until a frew weeks ago - I've only been riding my road bike since I bought it. Finally got my hybrid tuned up & went for a ride - just about died for the first 5 minutes or so (lol). Then I settled in at a comforatable cadence. But for the first 5 minutes I couldn't believe I had ridden "this bike" for 2 years of The Ride To Conquer Cancer!! Definitely a difference with a road bike.
