First time rider looking for a small road or touring bike

Hi there,

I am a 5'2'' female looking for a bike to train with and ride the RTCC, as well as more long-distance rides in the future.

Ideally i'd spend about $300-$700, but am flexible depending on value.

If anyone can give advice on good new or used options, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks and all the best,

Alanna

You can check out a couple of websites for bikes. You get what you pay for based on price. The bike you want to be comfortable on but also not kill your pocket book and still be able to make the 200 km+ distance for the RTCC.. SO...How does one do this. There are some pretty good used/new bikes you can find at the upcoming bike show, but also you may want to check out PINKBIKE.COM or Craig's list. My suggestion is you can also find some good deals at bike shops like Pedal Performance (AJAX AND VAUGHAN locations) who will also professionally fit you to ensure you get the most comfortable ride, and gain best value for your dollar.  Good luck on your search!
