So excited for camping out!!! I have to buy an air mattress for myself and my husband. Do any past riders / campers know how big the tents are? Just wondering if we should buy a double air mattress or a queen. I have never, ever slept in a tent before so this is all new to me.
the tents are 6 x 6... which makes for a tight squeeze for anyone over six feet tall like myself. An 80 inch queen size mattress will be about a half foot too long. You're probably better off with two small inflatable mattresses or sleeping pads.
For anyone staying in a tent, you might want to bring something to "mark" which tent is yours - some kind of flag, towel, bright ribbons, etc.
Also, take it from someone who was "there" last year, note which area you park your bike. It doesn't take long for what seems like a empty bike corral to fill up and in a very short span, all you see is a sea of bikes.
