Come ride with us

We have an upcoming fundraiser on February 18th & 19th (family day weekend)  You can read more about the event here. www.millionmeters.com

Don't worry... I know you're all fundraising too and I'm not looking for donations from you.

What am I looking for? I'm hoping I can get five individuals in their RTCC jerseys to ride with us on Saturday from 12pm to 1pm.  You're welcome to ride longer if you like.  Media will be present and I think it would be awesome if we could have all the bikes going with RTCC participants.

If you're interested in joining us for a spin please RSVP  rob@millionmeters.com

Can't make it for 12pm on Saturday?  The studio will be open for the full 24 hours so come on out and shake off your winter legs. We'd love to have you.

Please be sure to bring your pedals and shoes.  Platform pedals are available if you do not have cycling shoes/pedals.

Event has been put on hold for a later date, possibly in April.

I was hit by a car in Markham. Bike was totaled and I'm out 4 - 6 weeks with a hip/lower back injury.

Looks like it's gong to be pushed to the weekend of April 14/15 providing they can accommodate us that weekend at the studio. Will confirm 100% this week.

Thanks for the kind words. Injuries really aren't that bad considering. Minor bursitis in my hip, bruised kidney and ribs. Thankfully nothing broken. Doc has said keep off the bike for 4 - 6 weeks... I heal really fast and am hoping 3 - 4 weeks tops. That should give me all of February to get back into shape.

Everything is pretty much settled with the insurance company and I will be ordering the new frame/front wheel/saddle in the next week. I got that bike in August and it didn't even make it six months :( The new 2012 is all matte black and looks pretty slick.. also has Di2 cable routing.

clos58 sorry if I wasn't clear in my first post but the funds raised will be going to our fundraising campaign.  If you need help with fund raising, there are some great ideas in the fund raising forum, http://theontarioridetoconquercancer.activeboard.com/f452547/fundraising-tips/
