Hi! Since the summer I've gone on rides from where I live near Rouge Hill GO up to the zoo, Finch, Brock Rd or so, and down to Kingston and the lakefront trail, and back. That's 30k (or was it 40k).

Do you have a regular route already? If the weather holds out maybe we can train once or twice in 2011.

Can we start training rides this week or weekend?

I understand there are riders in Scarborough and Pickering/Ajax too.

We can use some of the 'rural' roads starting from Meadowvale/Old Finch, Plug Hat, Beare, Rosebank, Twyn Rivers (I'm kidding about Twyn Rivers), or some of the roads from the Rouge ride earlier this year. I'll come up with a route for the distance we do.

Post it here or email me jason_ettorre@yahoo.com, the more the merrier!

Hello Fellow Riders

We are a group doing training rides out of Stouffville and the surrounding area.

The purpose of the group is help with training for many charity ride event like the RTCC, Heart and Stroke and United Way.

There is no membership, no cost, and no firm commitment needed. All you need is a bike, helmet, well padded shorts and some determination.

We start off March 31st and ride through the summer. Anybody is welcome whether you are a seasoned pro or a total rookie.

The routes vary in range from 20k to 80k some are flat some are very hilly. If you can do these rides I assure you the RTCC will be a breeze.

Come meet some great people, hear some great stories, see some beautiful country side and have a ton of fun while training for the greatest event of your life, The Ride To Conquer Cancer.

I am a 5 time rider and my wife is a cancer survivor so I know what it is all about.

The link will give you all the info you need.
