THANKS FOR SUGGESTIONS, MOTIVATION & ENCOURAGEMENT

Thanks to everyone & thanks for the message board.  It helped immensely as I embarked on my journey of training, to get ready for THE RIDE.  The organizers and volunteers have been incredibly supportive and the resources have been terrific.

It has been truly uplifting and will culminate with the celebration ride this weekend.  I began this journey cycling approximately a total of 15 kms at a very slow pace and cannot believe my improvement.

I gained so my knowledge about cycling, nutrition, bikes, gear and bike wear.  I met new acquaintances, bike enthusiasts and cycling athletes.  I biked on routes that were splendid, unusual and sometimes daunting.  I dined @ East Dell's R2CC brunch & met incredible people along this journey.  The volunteerism of GEARS and their spinning coaches and technical sauvy have enlightened me.  Thanks, thanks, thanks !

I applaud each of the participants and I'm in total amazement of the heroes - cancer survivors.

Good luck to all and I'll see you Saturday & Sunday.  May the wind be always on your back !

Hey, B (I can't type that name without actually seeing it and I'm on a netbook),

I feel the same. Though I've only accidentally met two other riders, ridden alone since I started training, there's been so much encouragement from other riders here. I've had some from a friend in Toronto who is signing up for next year, a cyclist in Portugal, but the bulk of it has come from people here, from new riders to pros.

I want to add my thanks to yours. I may not be online much before the ride, but I'll be there ride day getting my survivor flag and knowing that even though I won't have family or anyone at cheering stations along the way or at the start, we all have eachother and the people at the ride centre have been fantastic.

See you in Toronto everyone!
