Jersey - may not be longer?

So some people are saying their jerseys are too large/too big. I just called and confirmed there would be a jersey swap on Saturday but she mentioned that they are all basically the same length (damn!)

So my questions, having never actually worn a bike jersey, are:
- How tight/loose are these jerseys supposed to be?
- Is it supposed to hang or tuck in?

I have a long torso and the front of my jersey seems pretty short, though the shorts do come up high... It just seems like it will be a very odd fit for me, though I definitely want to wear the jersey!

Bike jersey's are short in the front - when standing.  There designed to suit your shape when you're on the bike and arching forward.  That extends the back and shortens the front.

It seems like the jerseys are very short this year, so you are not alone. Luckily I have bib shorts so no one will be seeing my muffin top while trying to climb Hamilton mountain. LOL!
It seems like every year they have problems with jerseys, year one they were way too small and you actually had to pick up your package on the Friday so all the people before us took the next size up to what they ordered when they registered so I was left with a large jersey that I couldn't even get close to fitting into and had to wait weeks later for them to get another shipment of larger ones, I ended up only being able to fit into a XXL. Last years were good but seemed kind of itchy.

The Jersey swap seems like a great idea except we are taking the GO train in from Pickering and won't arrive until 7:49am which limits our time for 'shopping'!  UGH.

I guess I could starve myself for the next couple of days so that the medium isn't too snug?   Don't know what I was thinking when I ordered a medium this year when the Large was fine last year.  I think I must have ordered it when I registered at the tent last year after I drank my "2" free beers?

Cheers!
