WAY behind this year....

....and I mean WAY behind!

This is my third year and training has been so hard.  I am not an expert rider...really only started riding to be able to take part in this event and it was so hard for me the first year...last year was easier for sure but still not a walk in the park.  I know what it takes to be ready for this event and I am not there!

Between getting a new bike and then getting hit on my new bike by another cyclist I have to say I do not feel anywhere near where I should be.  I have been sidelined for the past 3 weeks, while getting physio for my knee and neck.

Just got clearance to ride again and was able to get 33 km in on Sunday...and plan on getting a few longer rides in this weekend as well.  I will be out there regardless and will do as much as I can...but I truly do not know if I will make the 210 km

Anyone else out there who does not feel like they have trained enough???

Hey.
While I'm not completely behind in training, I spent so much TRYING to raise donations that i was eating wrong and got sick three weeks ago, and now have tonsilitis and walking pneumonia. Sigh.
But I'm on antibiotics and improving. My shortest rides are 40 km. Longest 84-86. They are on trail conditions so I'm confident that while the M200 will be brutal, I'll muddle through.
There was a fellow a while back in the K200 who said he'd trained 100km. TOTAL. He made it but it was brutal and he was going to train better this year.

Want to email? I could use some positive people struggling to train to email with. catholiccyclist@live.com I'm Chase and I could honestly use cycling friends. I ride alone, train alone..it's hard.

Hope you feel better soon. Last year another rider hit me, landed on me, on trail and I had a bruised leg bone between ankle and calf that had me limping for weeks. Hang in there SSM, you'll do fine.

Hey,

I feel your pain.  I have been so busy fundraising training kinda got put on the back burner.  Then I got hit with a horrible kidney infection and stones, and its still kinda sketchy if I will be well enough to do it.  My plan is to try my best to finish, but if might take a while.  My fiancee and I are doing this together, but I'm sure he would love to take off for a bit (as he's much faster than me).  So if there is anyone that would like to ride together let me know!  Feel free to e-mail me as well jwickens@live.ca.

Take care,

Jacquie

Good God, the fundraising. Until 10 or so days ago I wasn't going to make it. I'm dreading that next year. Hopefully my team will have members next year..anyone wants to join up at end of June, it'll be the team Jerry's Legacy M200, for my brother.
Oy, the fundraising. I've heard more excuses than a cop pulling over a really drunk driver.

I'm in the M200, though my stupid wristband says K200..
anyone wants to ride for fun as opposed to "hey, let's play Tour De France!" I'd love company.
