New program for - people like us! - at Burlington YMCA

The Burlington Ron Edwards YMCA are offering a new program for people like us who are training for long distance charity rides such as the Ride to Conquer Cancer & the MS ride amongst other long distance events over 100k.

It is to be a 2hr indoor cycling class for an 8 week trial period to start the first week of February 2010.  It will be specifically tailored to train for long distance road riding (so not as intense a class as the usual style of indoor cycling you may have experienced).  The classes will take place early morning on Saturdays and are expected to be from 7am to 9am as the studio is already booked for other programs from 9.15 am onwards.

If you have your own trainer and wish to bring your own bike then you are very welcome to bring them along other wise there are 35 spin bikes available for your use.

If you are already a member of the YMCA then the classes will be included in your current membership.  For those who are not already members then you will need to purchase a day pass to participate.  (Check their pricing as it's in your interest to become a member if you will ride with us regularly!)

This is a great way to learn to ride  for long periods and to meet lots of new friends so come join us!!

Please contact the Ron Edwards YMCA  to show your interest in this program or contact me at barbmacc@hotmail.com

Regards
Barb

Sounds interesting but I doubt I would make it to Burlington for 7am - it would be good if it spread to other Y locations cause there is a chance I could make it to the local Y in St. Catharines.
If not, have to make do with regular spinning classes - the Welland Y often has 2 back-to-back.
