My quest for a team or training buddy!

Hello!

I've signed up for the 2010 ride and I'm looking to find either a team to join in on training, fundraising and all the other fun stuff that goes along with it or a training buddy.

I've recently been reintroduced to cycling in April when my friend leant me her beat up ol' mountain bike and it's been difficult to get me off the thing since.  Mrs. Garmin tells me I average approximately 18 km/hour but I'm certain with a new set of wheels and the motivation of a great group of cyclists this will only increase.

I'm riding out of Hamilton and would prefer someone local to be able to take advantage of the evening hours during the week but would also be willing to drive a couple of hours to ride with the right crew on weekends.

Since I am an absolute newbie I'd appreciate any other advice some of the veterans would be able to provide.

Thanks n' happy cycling!

Dawn :)

Hi Dawn,

I am captian of a team called Fabulous Fifty. I picked up 2 single riders last year that rode in the first RTCC and they have been a wonderful addition to the team. Our riders are from Caledon, Orangeville, Mississauga, Brampton, Richmond Hill and Toronto.

If interested let me know and we can chat to see if this is a good fit for both of us.

Catherine

Hi Dawn,

As a memeber of Steve's Cycle Paths in 2009 and returning for 2010. We are based from Dundas to Niagara Falls and do Team rides as well. Please email me directly if you have any further questions at dwinckler@salitsteel.com

Thanks,
Dave
