Hello Mark.
I'm planning to go for a ride Saturday afternoon, nothing hugely strenuous - only my 2nd time out this year, and to join in the "formal" training ride on Sunday from High Park.   Both weather permitting.
I live near Islington & Bloor.

Let me know if you're up for joining me.

Simon.

Saturday afternoon is impossible, I'm trying to make Sunday work as well but it does not look good at the moment.

Complete info below.  It's one of the "formal" training rides.  Organized by Doug Evans dbevans@sympatico.ca
Pertinent info is:
Grenadier Restaurant in High Park 8:30 meet for 9:00 start.  2 loops: 38 or 52 kms.

From Doug:......
Hi all
Response for the High Park training rides has been fantastic
Last week we endured the cold and did a 38k loop to Port Credit
This week will be 52k to Port Credit via Burnhamthorpe http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/united-states/on/toronto/636123843491964627
a 38k shorter route is available for those not quite ready for the longer distance http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/ca/on/toronto/855123836853065425

Apr 19 is  the second in a series of Sunday outdoor training rides for the Ride to Conquer Cancer (RTCC)
These rides are put together by me as a volunteer effort to get riders ready for the big event
The weather forecast is still great
We will be meeting at the Grenadier Restaurant parking lot in High Park at 8:30a, departing no later than 9a
look for the car with an orange road cone on the roof
These rides are for beginner to novice riders, at a speed of 20 - 25kph
We will make a mid point pit stop in Port Credit at Timothy's
As we ride we will stop at various points to regroup so no one is left behind
I will have ride directions at the start
Be sure your bike is in good working order and bring:
appropriate clothing
water bottle
personal bike repair kit including spare tube, pump, tire irons, multitool
personal ID, cash and a cell phone
helmet
BE SAFE, BRIGHT IS BEST - Bright clothing makes you visible to other riders and motorists. Bike shops have a variety of clothing designed especially for high visibility. Remember, as a participant of the RTCC you get a discount at most bike shops.

Hey Mark,

I'm riding from Downtown Toronto to Stoney Creek on Saturday Apr 25 and taking lakeshore to get there and back (maybe not all the way back...lol - TBD). You're welcome to join me and I could meet you somewhere along the way. I'm no superstar in terms of speed (approx 25km/hr on avg) and feel free to return at any point along the route.

Anyone other riders that want to join are also welcome. Call my cell 905-330-5758 because I don't check the boards too often.
