did you crew? The volunteers, organizers and crew were all outstanding once again and I as a rider can't thank you enough for all you do for us riders throughout the weekend. THANK YOU! See you in 2012!
First of all, I can't say enough about what a class act this event is! I have organized events for some large groups of 500 or so but never a group moving on two routes thru traffic and huge cities! Kudos really. The port o potties were plenty I never had to "line up" ... this is a big plus in my books usually events skimp on these! The medical support, the sweeps , mechanical support and the volunteer crew on motorcycles all super awesome! Every one was friendly and every need was taken care of me.
For some of you who don't like the overnight accommodations, I learned a long time ago if you are over 40 don't tent! It's uncomfortable, you don't sleep and if it rains you are soaked and cold all weekend!
This event was so well run I entered again ...and I said I would only do it once because I am uncomfortable asking for money nevermind $2500. Oh well, hopefully, with events like these soon we will put an end to cancer.
Hey! I passed 40 several years ago and I wouldn't think of not tenting it for this event. If you are "of a certain age" and not used to sleeping in a tent then you probably want to consider other options.
