this will be my first ride and i'm a little confused as to how i will have access to any gear/belongings that are on the trucks. if it starts raining in the middle of the ride for example, and i need my rain gear, will the truck carrying everyone's belongings be stopping at the next pit stop and allowing riders to access their belongings? or is the idea to have everything you might need during the ride with you from start to finish?
The trucks travel direct from the starting point to the days endpoint. You have to carry everything you need with you. Do some careful packing for the first morning. The first year I rode I brought 2 pairs of gloves and both ended up on the truck.
If you do forget anything there are vendors at the start point and at camp that should be able to help you out.
