great riding weather is finally here

Logged my first 100km ride of the season. Considering my conditioning has been 50% on trainer and spin bike I felt great (except the last 10 km).  Route was Barrie to Orillia via ridge road. Low traffic and lots of hills. Cant wait for the day I finally get to ride flat road for more that 5 minutes.lol Total time was 3hrs 10 min, which I'm happy with for a May ride.  Forgot to log elevation on my Garmin (will do next weekend for sure) Who else had a good ride. Lets here the routes and how you felt.

I finally had a good ride, my first of the year.  A 2 hour, 50km ride west of London.  Next week, weather permitting, I'll target a 3 hour ride.

Not quite at your pace and a bit slower than I expected.  The gap is only partially attributed to the 700x38 commuting tires I currently have on my cross bike. I will be switching to 700x23s by the end of the month.

Was out for about 6 hours, 2 of which I was riding with Kristo.  Good ride, good company.  Don't know how far I went (my odometer isn't working properly), I'm guessing about 60 - 70 km, a lot of it at a slow pace of 14km.  I went 100 km Saturday at about 16 km.  I'm on a commuter bike with bigger tires, which I won't be changing out.  I figure as long as I keep on pedalling, I'll get there in the end!

Finally had a chance to do a fairly long ride.  Was out for 85 km on Saturday with some good hills.  Did it in 3 1/2 hours at an average speed of 21.6 km/h.  Felt great after the ride accept for a real sore neck but all was good the next day.

80k in Newmarket area on Saturday.
60k on the waterfront on Sunday.

I'm a little stiff and sore but otherwise none the worse for wear. Hopefully, I'll be able to lay down a century next weekend.

Stay at home mum.  I had to tote around a 3 year old.  The only thing that kept me going was the weather.  But I know how you feel.  My sympathies.  Will soak up some extra rays and send them your way, with sunscreen.

I work outside, so enjoying the weather is the easy part.

Yes finally able to get the bike going!  Not only was the weather in our way, but my fiance and I just moved into our new condo (we moved our entire one bed plus den apartment into our new smaller one bed condo) for over two weeks in the trunk of his vw golf! Doing severl trips a day and packing unpackin.  Very exhausting, but I think my legs got a bit of a workout since we llived on the third floor and had to carry everything down the stairs to move it :)

Most or my training has been at the gym so far.  I can say that my cardio is in pretty good shape (I'm not getting winded, or sweating too much on my ride to work) but my legs are out of shape for riding!  I missed my whole year last year when I was doing my treatment.

I think with daily riding for the next month I should get more ready.  At the moment I ride to and from work about 10 Km's each way, but we are going to add some back to back longer rides on the weekend and see how that goes.

my fiance is riding as a crew member this year.
