Used Roller Trainer For Sale in Kitchener

I have a roller that I just haven't been using enough to justify the space it is taking up so I have decided to sell it to help raise money. I'm looking at $75 for it (they're about $250 new and it's for a great cause w00t.gif).

It is an older model but still works great. May need a dab of lube as it has been idle for just over a year now. Includes cabled resistance adjuster that attaches to your handlebars. The frame looks very much like the one in the image below except it's not red :P

If you are new to rollers I strongly suggest not buying this unless you have a safe space to use it (a nice hallway or open space against a wall away from anything breakable). I'm not trying to scare anyone, but until you get used to riding on it you risk jumping off the side of the cylinders which would send you riding across your room at whatever speed you were going :P The wall is to give you something to help you keep your balance at first.

I can deliver in Kitchener-Waterloo. Outside of that area it would be up to you to pick it up.

If you feel like toting your bike to my place you are welcome to give it a test drive (I cannot offer rides on my bike as it is inaccessable till spring).

You can reach me at wrilly@rogers.com

Cheers,

Hi Trisch.

Are the rollers you advertised for sale on the RTCC message board for $75 still available? If so, I will definitely buy them.

I am in Bowmanville but can arrange for a pickup easily (my sister lives in the Kitchener area).

Thanks so much,

Rob (rider since 2008, on the team "Hope Peddlers" for 2011)

If Pigeon doesn't take these from you I have a riding partner in KW that is interested.

FYI: If you ride off the side of the rollers you'll just fall over - you aren't moving, only your wheels are spinning.

My couch wishes I would only have fallen over lol. I ran into it a few times :P You're wheels are spinning and when you no longer have something moving in the opposite direction to remove the power, you move forward. It took some time for me to get used to breaking when I would get too close to the edge.

Thanks for the interest though twinpro! Pigeon and I have made pickup arrangements so it is no longer available.

I wish you both lots of great weather for the final stretch of training season and look forward to seeing everyone at the ride :D
