The Bike Pirates are having a workshop on how to get your bike ready for winter on Sunday, Nov 28 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. They are located at 1292 Bloor Street West (between Dufferin and Landsdowne).
Below is info about the event (I am not affiliated with The Bike Pirates but will probably attend the workshop!) and here is a link for more info about the workshop: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=164411853598744 The Bike Pirates is also a great place to learn about how to do your own bike maintenance! -----------------------
It's that sad time of year when most folks start to bundle up, get their ttc money ready and cage their Bicycles for the winter.
Soon we'll have to start planning ahead extra time for expected ttc delays. Standing outside in the freezing cold, just waiting and waiting for that streetcar to arrive. Packing into buses like hot, smelly, salty sardines. Everyone's Grumpy, and Everyone's cold! Everyone's paying 3 dollars each trip th...ey take.
If only there was a safe n' toasty alternative to the ttc. If only we could continue riding our bikes during the winter....
