Almost 5 months to go!

Well Friday is the start of the 2010 Olympics and it also marks 5 month until the Ride to Conquer Cancer! I am very excited, especially since the weather in Toronto is cool and there isn't any snow on the ground! I'm biking outdoors now, thankfully I'm off the trainer. Is anybody else pumped to ride 200k or 320k in June?!

How is everyone's training going?

How is your fundraising going?!

Not to scare you, but the RTCC is four month today.. :). Good for you for having the guts to ride outside already. I am staying indoors for at least 2 more months until it is above 10 - 15 degrees. Fundraising is slow, but lots of plans to get there.

I'm doing the 200 miles.
Like I keep saying, i just have to raise the money and I'm there. Looking forward to the ride and keeping that promise to my brother. Really excited about the ride!

Yesterday someone was to meet me with a 60 dollar cheque for the ride. He showed and handed me a cheque for 100 dollars. "I told a friend about you and the ride..."
Mailing it off tonight.
I'd looked up the day before, as I'm prone to do since my brother passed, "Jerry, you have to help me. No one's donating. I need help here."
Wham. 100 cheque to the PMH.

He also gave me some fundraising tips and asked about my cancers and my brother. I do believe he'll spread the word.

12 days till payment 2 of 3 on the bike. Very excited.

Question here. The trail from Hamilton to Cambridge? I have a trail map from the Trail Centre at 5.5 km out. But i get to 32 km, the Gordon Greaves site, and I can't find the rest of the way. Does anyone have a clear, printed map of the thing they can mail to me if they contact with an addy request at chase.cameron@live.com? I don't have a printer/phone. I'm living like the Amish here, sort of. Or a site with a great view of the map through Brantford to the other side? From there I can easily go through to Paris and Cambridge. But I'm lost from one end of Brantford to the other. The map looks great, but the trail isn't marked very well.
Thanks in advance everyone.

Same question here. I know nothing of what a gear bag is, what goes into it, how early to have a friend drive me into Toronto from Hamilton the day of, how to check in, etc.

Oh wise veterans, tell us. smile
