I went to the Recognition Night last year at The Princess Margaret in Toronto and it was absolutely wonderful - to meet some of the people who are using the money we raised and to see what they are doing with it was inspiring. When it was announced that they were having another Recognition Night for the riders of the 2009 ride, I was very excited. Then I remembered the drive from St.Catharines to Toronto at rush hour. I know the return trip won't be as bad since the Gardiner will not be closed (as it was last year), but it was enough to make me think twice.
Is anyone else in the Niagara area interested in celebrating the achievements of The Princess Margaret and the accomplishment of the 2009 Ride somewhere closer to home? It could be something very informal like just picking somewhere to meet and then letting them know we're coming.
