Is there any way that friends and family will be able to see us crossing the finish line? I understand that it is packed with people and chaotic. Also I assume any nearby parking will be full as well, so I would appreciate any ideas on what others are doing to make the finish area work out for the family.
Ya , last year I cell phoned the wife 25 min. before the finish, just before we passed Marine land. +/-. Although traffic was crawling in downtown and she was so the GPS said 15 minutes to the finish, was over 1 hour later to the finish line area than I ? . I walked beside her over a KM to first available parking. So make sure they are on site well in advance, I would use an off site lot and people mover.
