Hey everyone - some friends and family have asked whether the cheering stations are also checkpoints to stop at or whether we just ride by them and see people in passing (I assume some stop regardless). Anyone care to comment how the stations were incorporated into last year's ride.
I stopped at the one that I had friends waiting for me at - I would never think of riding by without thanking them for their support. We just pulled over the the side and got out of the way - now we were towards the back half and it was quite spread out between riders.
We also met one group of supporters just before a cheering station - they were waiting in a parking lot for us and we had no issues stopping.
