For all of you novice riders out there, I'll be in Ajax this weekend and will be riding Saturday am. If you want to join me we can meet at the Giant Tiger (I think it's still there) at Westney/ Lakseshore Drive at 8 am. and leave at 8:15 - 8:20. I'm a "weekend warrior" so it'll be an easy ride, I'm training at about 25km/hr. and looking at at least 60k and maybe a bit more depending on how my knee holds up. Hello Neil - Im thinking of joining you for this ride - this may be a silly question, but there is probably no problems with me leaving my car in the parking lot at the Giant Tiger while we go riding is there?
and also - is your route on road, or on a bike path out there?
No problem leaving your car. The route once we get out of Ajax is all road, north on Taunton Road for the most part and some side roads. I'm going to drive it tonight and find the smoothest, safest route.
