ive tried a ew bike shops and most have said they don't sell used road bikes... only 3 speed cruisers that kindof thing.. everyone keeps saying ohhh road bike? hmm you might have a hard time..
I will ask around and have my bike shop keep an eye out for you. Best of luck! In the mean time, and if you have a MTB, put a road saddle on it to get used to the saddle at least. May as well get that part of the conditioning going!
There is a place in Erin that sells used bikes, I am not sure of the name of the shop. As per the previous recommendation, if you can't find a used ladies bike that fits you. Best to put a new seat on the mtn bike, put road slicks on it and have it serviced and it will work for you.
There really isnt alot of used road bikes available for men or women.
Try Bikeland Barrie, or at least call , they may have one or two. Or another option is a NON current . New - perhaps still in the box but a couple years old that a store could not sell . I know a couple stores in Barrie - Orillia had several like that last year. especially smaller or very large sizes.
Try Newson's Sharpening and Skate Exchange. The store name is "Skates", but they deal in 2nd-hand bikes big-time, and do a good job fixing them up. I have bought both my kids' bikes there, and was very satisfied with what we got.
hi , i have a 54cm aquila road bike, my fiance is 5'6 and fits her perfect.... shimano ultegra components, aerohead wheels 650c, aero bars, carbon fork, miche hubs, selling $600 firm /// bike is royal blue, easton aluminum tubing..martin 905-977-9699...great bike for the price.
Hi everyone, I'm also looking for a small size road bike for the event. I was told a top tube size of 52.5 cm would be ideal for me. I've been looking on craigslist but haven't found quite the right thing yet (at the right price)... if you know of anything, please let me know! Thanks!
Not sure what you're looking to spend and what your preferences were but I saw a Schwinn Hybrid with road tires (ie: thin 700c) at Canadian Tire that looked decent for the money ($320):
Not sure if that helps. It was also on sale when I saw it, so maybe you could convince their manager to give you the sale price (similar to some of the discounts bike shops give for the ride). Food for thought.
i have a used roadbike that im looking to sell, i jsut put new pedals and tires on it. It's an older one but runs fine, not sure if it would fit your frame though.
