Selecting HRM for someone with latex reaction

I hope someone can help me here -- just purchased a Sigma Onyx Easy HRM which I will need to return because as soon as I put it on my wrist, I began developing a red, itchy rash and hives...put the band on for a moment to see if i would react to that part as well and within a minute, the same thing.

I believe this is just a contact reaction, and have experienced it before with certain items.
Can anyone recommend a brand to try that might be suitable for someone with a latex allergy?
I am not a pro rider, but I have a mag trainer at home now and would like to begin training utilizing heart rate zones. I don't think I need a lot of bells and whistles, but would rather buy something that will serve me well into the future should I decide to 'step it up'.

Thanks for any help/tips you can send my way. I'm located in Durham region.

I have a handel bar mount for my HR monitor no skin contact there. Might be a option. All though you will have to test the Chest strap to make sure there are no reations with it
